Nerolac Allscapes

Nerolac is an Indian synthetic paints manufacturing company which had become a fully owned subsidiary of Kansai Paints Company Ltd., Japan in 1999. Currently, Nerolac is the second largest coating company in India with a market share of around 20%. Their premium range super luxury emulsions for internal usage are released under the brand name Allscapes. The brand promises quick drying. So, what is this ad trying to convey?

Like many of you pointed out, this ad was simpler compared to the previous one. It basically projects the quick dry feature of the paint. The color combinations give it a catchy look. Now the presence of the doves indicates something which is so natural, which everyone prefers.

Campina Optiwell

Campina is a European milk and milk products company and their health drink products are released under the brand name Optiwell. They say that their health drinks contain only 0.1% fat. Given this, can you guess what this ad is trying to convey?

The ad is pretty simple. The tagline says that the health drink contains only 0.1% fat. People use fat-less drinks to lose weight. In the image there are footsteps of the dog but no footsteps of the person who is jogging, as if he is weight less. So in effect the ad says that the drink make u lose your adipose tissues. The success of such ads lie in the fact that if people think more about an ad, the more will it be retained in their memory.

Introduction

"A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words” – This famous adage means a lot in the advertising industry. In the case of television advertisements the creator can take the aid of sound, words, changing imagery, changing expressions and graphical effects etc. to convey the idea correctly and efficiently to the target audience. But in the case of print ads (those appear in newspapers, magazines etc.) there is an inherent limitation due to the nature of the medium. As a result print advertisements require much more talent, imagination and creativity. In my day today life, I come across certain print ads, which due to its amazing creativity, stand out from the rest. So I thought of making a repository of such ads by putting them in to a blog. And here it is.

You may click on individual ads for its enlarged view. In order to keep the deal interesting I plan to put my analysis on certain ads.

The ads posted here belong to their respective owner companies/ad agencies. All copy-rights belong to them.
