While we took a planned break from adMad trivia, we thought of putting pics of some unconventional methods of promotion. Hope you will enjoy it.

Swiss watch maker IWC (International Watch Company) came up with this promotion technique for their watches. In this, the hand-grip in the bus that takes a passenger to board a flight was modified as shown. A passenger who put his hand inside the grip will notice the ad instantly and will get a feel of wearing the watch. The bus that takes a passenger to the flight is the best place to put this promotion, for the watch being advertised is 'Big Pilot's Watch'. Such promotion techniques are termed as Guerrilla Marketing (an unconventional way of performing promotional activities on a very low budget).
