This newspaper can be considered the French counterpart of the Wall Street Journal and Financial Times. The paper initially appeared under the auspices of textile traders Robert Schreiber and associate Albert Aronson and became a weekly in 1913. It was owned by different groups including James Goldsmith at one time. It is currently owned by London-based Pearson group, owner of the Financial Times and Penguin Books among other publishing interests who acquired it in 1989. Name this leading French newspaper.
